Thank you for taking me into consideration to prepare your cake or sweet treat for your special event!

 

I sometimes get asked the question, ‘why are your prices so much higher than  the grocery store?’ There are a few reasons for this...grocery stores are large operations in which they have low ingredient and labor costs because of the high amount of products they sell.  The cake has also been pre-baked and the frosting has been prepared in a factory and shipped to the store, saving the store time, but also compromising flavor.  While it can be a tasty product it does not come close to homemade, and you get what you pay for. 

 

So why do homemade cakes cost more?  I make my frosting and cakes by hand to order.  So you first factor in the cost of the ingredients.  Secondly I make your cake on my own time and am not paid an hourly wage, therefore there is some labor cost built into my prices.  And last your cake is a unique cake order to meet your needs and varies from person to person.  Remember you are paying for the ingredients, skill, time, labor, and any other special steps that go into making your special treat.

 

Your order is important to me and I know it will be an important part of your special day.  Please do not hesitate to ask any questions and make any requests while placing your order.  Once we have decided on a final order you will be asked to sign a contract that will require a non-refundable deposit.  This is in case of cancellations after I have already bought the needed supplies and for my time.  The deposit amount will be applied to the final amount due for your cake.
